Terms of Service
These terms apply when you use CheckMyWebsite.co.uk, whether you run a free check or buy a 30-Day Domain Unlock. By using the service you accept them.

Who provides the service
CheckMyWebsite.co.uk is provided by UKC LABS LTD, 86-90 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NE. Company number 15229367. VAT number GB476819146. Contact hello@checkmywebsite.co.uk.
What the service is
The service requests publicly available information from a website address you submit and reports what it observed. It reads public HTTP responses, page metadata and public files such as robots.txt and sitemap.xml.
- It does not log in, authenticate, or access anything behind a password.
- It does not alter, upload to, or interfere with the site checked.
- It is not penetration testing, vulnerability exploitation, or a security audit, and must not be relied on as one.
Your responsibilities
- You may only submit addresses of websites you own, operate, or are otherwise permitted to check.
- You are responsible for the addresses you submit and for complying with any policy that applies to the site checked.
- You must not use the service to attack, overload, or map a third party's systems, or to circumvent access controls.
- You must not attempt to bypass our rate limits, tokens, or paid access controls, or resell the service as your own.
Fair use and rate limits
We apply reasonable rate limits to keep the service available and to be a good citizen toward the websites checked. Free checks are limited per requester over a rolling 24-hour period. While a domain is unlocked you can run one fresh re-check per hour for that domain. We may adjust limits, or suspend access, where use appears abusive or harmful.
Reports are informational
Reports are automated observations of publicly available data at a point in time. They are provided for information only and are not legal, security, or compliance advice. We do not guarantee that a report is complete, that every issue is detected, that a finding is accurate for your setup, or that acting on a suggestion will produce a particular outcome. You remain responsible for any change you make to your website.
Each report link opens the snapshot created by that scan; a fresh re-check creates a new snapshot. Reports and their access links are retained for 30 days and are then purged. Keep your own copy if you need it for longer.
The 30-Day Domain Unlock
- The unlock costs £20.00 including VAT as a one-off payment. It is not a subscription, nothing renews, and there is nothing to cancel.
- An unlock covers one domain for 30 days from purchase. The apex domain and its www address are treated as the same domain.
- The unlock applies to the domain itself. While it is active, anyone opening a report or running a check for that domain receives the full developer-ready remediation pack.
- The unlock allows one fresh re-check per hour for the covered domain. Each re-check creates a new shareable report snapshot.
- A saved Domain Unlock link is provided as a convenient route to the latest report, but no account or special link is required to view a covered domain's full report.
- The unlock is offered only where there is genuinely additional paid material to show. If a check finds nothing further to explain, we do not offer it.
- The unlock does not include monitoring, unlimited scanning, PDF export, emailed reports, or any implementation work.
Card payments are taken by Stripe. Refunds are covered in our Refund Policy. If a purchase is refunded or successfully disputed, the corresponding domain unlock is revoked.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep the service available but it is provided as-is and may be interrupted for maintenance, provider outages, or changes. We may add, change, or withdraw features. If we withdraw a feature that an active unlock depends on, contact us and we will put it right.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected by these terms.
Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of data, reputational loss, or any indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability arising out of or in connection with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or £20 if you have not paid us anything.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
